The FBO where the plane is located (a Cessna 172 with a 180 Hp) was great in Cedar City. When I signed up to go St George and fly with Eric my goal was to attempt to obtain my private certificate, however because of my limited time, 9 days, I thought there was a good chance that I might have to return at another time to complete it. While I returned home fulfilled in a very meaningful way, in a way I am still left wanting though. ), then simulated instrument flight back to Santa Paula where we stopped and got some fuel, then shot an ILS approach on the way back to Van Nuys. Yep, it was heavy a total immersion in flying but success only comes after hard work! On my 4th morning I was flying solo and it all came together. It was a great and thoroughly enjoyable experience working with John. What most people dont know is this process comes with a lot of hard work and studying, but if one stays dedicated and listens to their instructor, they can pass that darn check ride. However, it was fun and the best part is that you are in the controls right from day one and wont let go all the way until the end.
